Dr. Sanaz Safa is the Director of CÉPROCQ and a recognized expert in chemical engineering and the development of innovative processes. She holds an Executive MBA from UQAM and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke. Throughout her career, she has led numerous research and development projects that have resulted in major advancements in batteries, battery active materials, MSC recycling, wastewater treatment, and the valorization of industrial effluents, particularly in the mining sector. She has also contributed to battery materials research as part of a European Union Horizon 2020 program project.

Before joining CÉPROCQ, Dr. Safa collaborated with industry on strategic projects, leveraging her expertise to develop sustainable and innovative solutions. Under her leadership, CÉPROCQ continues to play a key role in technological innovation and the development of high-impact industrial and environmental processes.
